Eighth Grade Social Studies
Instructor: Mr. Maas
Our 8th grade history glass will focus on the history of our great nation, from the period of the arrival of the first settlers to the end of the First World War.  During our study of the Civil War, we hope to visit Fort Point in San Francisco, the only Civil War fort west of the Mississippi.  It is my goal to make history come alive for your student.  The goal in each middle school history class is to make history relevant to the students, to point out the similarities they might share with someone their age in different periods in history.  They’ll learn that they have much in common with people in the past, and the students will begin to understand that this shared past links us together.
